Doughnuts are so delish and soooo much fun to eat! Did you know that you can jazz up store bought plain doughnuts at home? The possibilities are endless and you can really get creative!
Salted chocolate is one of our favourite whacky flavour combinations and it’s set to be a big food trend this year. In episode 6, May and Maha love jumping on the food trend bandwagon so this recipe is perfectly simple – and instragrammable.
To make the ganache, make sure you measure out the ingredients properly so you get the correct texture. The addition of Lurpak butter (our favourite) to the ganache gives it a glorious shine, and makes it taste extra delish (doesn’t butter make everything better?).
This is really a chefs quality chocolate treat, made easy at home with only a few ingredients, but you have to use the BEST chocolate. We love Callebaut, and we’re using the 54% dark chocolate, as it’s got just the right balance of bitterness and sweetness for the doughnuts.
And to top it all off – a beautiful and delish sprinkling of flaked sea salt. We recommend Maldon, as it’s just soooo pretty!
